Akudama Drive is a dystopian sci-fi anime developed by Pyrot Studios in partnership with Two Kyo Games that has amazing graphics, ethically conflicted characters, and an enthralling narrative.
Japanese society has been decimated by a horrific conflict between its two areas, Kanto and Kansai, in an alternative version of the country’s history. Finally, Kanto emerged triumphantly, and the other area was made into a vassal state under his control.
Tomohisa Taguchi, a writer-director, and Norimitsu Cahoe, a writer, have both indicated that their work has been inspired by the films of Quentin Tarantino and Ridley Scott, respectively. Despite the fact that Season 1 came to a close in many ways, supporters are already excited for the upcoming second season.
Akudama Drive Season 2 Plot
Swindler has a fractured leg in the season 1 finale, named ‘Akudama Drive,’ and is unable to continue. She begs the courier to assist her in getting the children to a secure location, and she provides them 500 yen in exchange.
The courier understands that this is the final time he would see her before he leaves for the airport. As he departs with the children, Swinder engages in combat with the brave warriors, ultimately succumbing to his injuries. The caretakers are successful in capturing the courier, but following Swinder’s death, a mutiny breaks out.
The courier shields the children numerous times before telling them to proceed without them and handing them 500 yen in swinder as compensation. The courier finally succumbs to his injuries, but by that time, the youngsters had arrived at their final destination.
Almost all of the key characters from the anime series “Akudama Drive” have died. This means that in season 2, a whole new cast of people may be established. Kanto and its innovation have the potential to be investigated in further depth. The emphasis of the series may tend to be on the brother and sister.
Akudama Drive Season 2 Release Date
The first episode of this anime series was created by the studio Pyrot (Pyrot Studio). And, since the show’s first season was released, no one has heard anything about the show’s second season. Pierrot has not renewed nor cancelled the anime series for any of his upcoming episodes.
Because the majority of reviewers had mixed reviews to it, many fans assumed it would not be returning. At the moment, it seems like the supporters were correct.
Despite the fact that it has been nearly four years, the show’s producers have decided not to renew it for a second season. As a result, the likelihood of it being renewed is quite low.
Season 1 of Akudama Drive premiered on October 8, 2020, and aired 12 episodes before concluding on December 24, 2020. Neither Pierrot nor Ku Kyo Games have released any statement on the future of the series.
Given how the anime unfolded, it is possible that it was a single-series series. However, if ‘Akudama Drive’ is not renewed, season 2 of the series is likely to arrive in 2022 or later.

The cast of Akudama Drive
This was originally meant to relate to the cast’s makeup of seven heroes, which was determined by the production staff and given the moniker Akudama Seven to represent this.
Consequently, due to the success of Reservoir Dogs, it was necessary to create an unique cast with different traits, all of whom were addressed to by fake names rather than their true names.
