As the name suggests, Double Feature will be made up of two mini-series, describing two different stories; one about the sand and one about the sea. The title of one of the stories is “Death Valley” while the other is titled “Red Tide”. It would be interesting to see how the two stories intersect and how the story takes another turn later.
Part 1, “Red Tide” featuring the story of the sea monster/vampire will be released first. It talks about Harry Gardner played by Finn Wittrock and him moving with his wife and daughter to Provincetown, an isolated beach town in Massachusetts in the winters. He takes the mysterious black pill at the bar called the Muse one night, given by Austin Sommers, a songwriter. Little did he know that the pill possessed its side effects. The season features many different people like Mickey, Ursula, Lark Feldman, Tuberculosis Karen, the police chief, the interior designer, and the chemist as well.
Part 2, “Death Valley” showcase the incident that happened with 4 college students who went camping in a horrifying and deadly place and get swept up in the extraterrestrial conspiracy being developing for decades. The intersection of parts 1 and 2 is something very interesting to think about.

The release date given to Double Feature by FX is Wednesday, August 25 when the first episode will be aired followed by other episodes which will be aired weakly like the previous seasons of The American Horror Story. The episodes will also be made available on Hulu the following day.
Viewers who want to binge the series on Netflix, especially fans outside the US, have to wait a little longer. Double Feature is unlikely to be streamed on Netflix at least until the fall of 2022.
