The show was critically acclaimed worldwide. There has been a total of two seasons till now. The makers have renewed this television series in May 2022 for Big Sky Season 3.
The story is based on the theme of crime. It is centered on two private detectives, Cassie Dewell and Cody Hoyt who join forces to search for two sisters who were abducted by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. - Dedee Pfeiffer as Denise Brisbane. Denise was a receptionist at the private investigation agency of Dewell & Hoyt.
- Natalie Alyn Lind as Danielle Sullivan. Danielle was one of the victims of Ronald’s kidnapping.Â
- Jade Pettyjohn as Grace Sullivan. Grace was Danielle’s younger sister. She was also kidnapped by Ronald.Â
- John Carroll Lynch as Rick Legarski. Rick Legarski was the highway patrol officer in Montana. It was later found out in the series that Rick was an acquaintance of Ronald.
- Ryan Phillippe as Cody Hoyt. Cody Hoyt is their partner of Cassie. He was a former cop but now co-owns a private investigation company.
- Jesse James Keitel as Jerrie Kennedy. Jerrie was an aspiring singer who later worked at Dewell & Hoyt Detective Agency.
- Anja Savcic as Scarlet Leyendecker. Scarlet was Ronald Pergman’s girlfriend.
- Logan Marshall Green as Travis Stone. Travis was a former lover of Jenny Hoyt. He was working undercover for the Sheriff with local drug dealers.

Big Sky is a binge-worthy watch for those who love to see crime and thriller series. The focus of the story shifts from one crime to another in the second season of Big Sky and yet there is no conclusion for both the crimes.
Cassie Dewell and Cody Hoyt joined with Jenny Hoyt to search for two missing girls. They later got to know that the two girls were abducted by a truck driver, Ronaldo on a remote highway in Montana. The detectives first took it as a normal case of disappearing but when they dived deeper into the investigation, it revealed some dark truths.
They discovered that those two girls were not the only ones who had disappeared. There had been many cases of missing young girls from the same area.
The detectives set on a quest to find the kidnapper and unravel the mystery of the kidnapping. The show then navigated us into the impeccable minds of detectives. They were chasing the clock to find the truck driver before any other woman goes missing.
Till season two, the driver was still missing. Meanwhile, Jenny rejoined the sheriff’s department and worked on a new mystery. Big Sky Season 2 showed us the world of drug dealers and cartels.
