The series quickly gained a following, creating light novel, manga, and most recently anime adaptations. Bofuri’s first season which consists of 12 episodes was aired in 2020. It has received much appreciation, an imbd rating of 7.5 with 1.4k people’s votes and myAnimeList rating of 7.6.

Bofuri Season 2 Release Date
Fans of Bofuri will be glad and equally excited to know that Season 2 has not only been announced but will also be released soon. Silver Link, the show’s creators, wrapped up Season 1 with the announcement that Season 2 will premiere in 2022. This is a wonderful surprise. It is not often that a new anime is renewed for a second season. Usually, there is a period of unannounced uncertainty during which fans are forced to suffer about the future return of their favorite show. Fortunately, this isn’t the case with Bofuri Season 2.
This doesn’t imply that the situation is a total worry-free, as Season 2 was announced in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic when even the most popular shows were experiencing delays left and right. Nobody knows if the pandemic had any impact on the production of Bofuri Season 2. Bofuri Plot
The protagonist of Bofuri is Kaede Honjou, who is invited to join the VRMMO game NewWorld Online alongside her friend Risa Shiramine. While Kaede doesn’t like games, she hates being in pain. She establishes Maple as a character and decides to put all of her points in to reduce pain.
As a result, she moves slowly, is unable to perform magic, and is vulnerable to even a rabbit. However, as a result of her pumping points into VIT, she receives a skill known as Absolute Defense, as well as a Counter skill that works against special moves. She now travels on adventures with her power to counter all damage.
Bofuri Season 2 Expected Plot
Maple Tree was one of the last teams standing in NewWorld Online’s latest community event at the end of Season 1. Maple and Payne face off in the last round. Maple’s health is nearly drained by Payne. Maple, on the other hand, uses her Atrocity form, her most recent OP ability, to turn the situation around. Maple eventually wins in the fight, putting Maple Tree in third place. Maple invited everyone to a celebration after the competition ended.
While the anime hasn’t revealed what’s next for Maple and her friends, we do know that Silver Link has a lot of material to work with. Despite some variations in stories between the anime, manga, and original novels, Bofuri sticks to all three of them. Furthermore, all other adaptations of the plot are much further advanced, with the anime’s first season-ending at Volume 4 of the 12 volumes of the light novel.
