Candy Season 2 is an American tv series wherein, Nick Antosca and Robin Veith are the authors of the American historical crime drama streaming television miniseries Candy. The cast includes Jessica Biel as Candy Montgomery, a genuine suspect in the 1980 ax murder of her Texas neighbor Betty Gore (played by Melanie Lynskey). It debuted on Hulu on May 9, 2022, with a fresh air date every evening for five nights till May 13.

Candy Montgomery, a suburban housewife in Wylie, Texas, is charged with the manslaughter of Betty Gore in 1980 after committing adultery with Betty Gore’s spouse Allan. In July 2020, it was revealed that UCP was creating a Candy Montgomery-centered television series. Nick Antosca will indeed be the executive producer of the project through his Eat the Cat production company, while Robin Veith would pen the pilot episode.

It was revealed that Hulu had acquired the show in December 2020. Elisabeth Moss, who has been initially slated to play Candy, had to withdraw owing to schedule issues, and Jessica Biel will indeed take her place, it was reported in October 2021.
