Conversations with Friends is an upcoming American series based on a novel written by Sally Rooney named Conversations with Friends from 2017. The novel is one of her best sellers along with Normal People and reported that she wrote the novel while she was still studying, Rooney has been greatly praised for her writing by Alexandra Schwartz and Katy Waldman. The novel has been nominated for the Dylan Thomas Prize in the year 2018 and in the same year for the Folio Prize.
The novel was sold in only 12 countries after a seven-party auction was held. Sally Rooney is an Irish screenwriter as well as an author, she has written a handful of books including the mentioned Beautiful World, Where Are You, and Two Stories. The protagonist is Alison Olive, she is an Irish actress starting her career as a known actress in Conversation with Friends, she plays the role of Frances in the show. Sasha Lane is an American actress known for her role in American Honey which was her debut film and has also starred in Utopia and Hellboy recently, she plays the role of Bobbi Connolly in the show, the ex-girlfriend and presents best friend of Frances.
Jemima Kirke, is an English American actress and director widely famous for her role in the HBO series Girls as Jessa Johansson, she has also starred in Untogether and working on Sex Education, she plays the role of Melissa Conway in the show, journalist involved with Bobbi. Joe Alwyn, is an English actor who majorly worked in period dramas and movies Operation Finale, Mary Queen of Scots, The Favourite and Harriet, he plays the role of Nick Conway in the series, the husband of Melissa working as a reserved actor.

The Conversation with Friends is a 12-part series involving a rollercoaster of storyline and drama with all fantasy romance that excites every other person. The show has been popular among the novel readers waiting for their favorite book to be released in the form of a series. The story is about Frances, she is 21 years old studying and working towards her dream to become a successful writer in the near future, Bobbi is her best friend whom she used to date and broke up with due to their reasons but decided to stay close.
Frances and Bobbi participate in a spoken word poetry contest held in Dublin performing at their best while Melissa, who herself is a journalist, finds the team dazzling and talented. Melissa approaches them to befriend the both and introduces them to her husband Nick, a reserved actor. Frances even being into girls begins to like Nick romantically. Nick on the other hand also flirts with Frances and the sexual tension between them grows, alternatively, Melissa and Bobbi seemed to click together, Melissa flirts with Bobbi and they hook up.
Soon it becomes a secret affair but Frances does not seem to enjoy the idea of hooking up with a man firstly and she could not ignore the fact that he is married. Nick assures her that their marriage has had many affairs involved but Frances had fallen in love but knew this is an impossible commitment. Frances goes through new things in life while also dealing with previous problems with her father and also the complicated relationship with Bobbi, especially after what happened between her and Melissa.
