Cruel Summer Season 2 is an upcoming American anthology TV series created by Bert V. Royal. Nicole Colombie is the producer of the show. Iron Ocean Productions and Entertainment One are the production companies working on the show. Initially, the show was given the title “Last Summer” but was retitled “Cruel Summer.”
Cruel Summer is a blend of teen drama and thriller showcasing the same day in different years and characters in each episode. The first few episodes of this intriguing mystery series feel a little choppy. Still, once you get used to the notion that it tells the narrative in segments of three separate summers—’93, ’94, and ’95—the approach works brilliantly. Cruel Summer develops like a beach read, revealing absurd story turns roughly every 15 minutes.

The annual Valais hunting trip provides an important first meeting. Janet and Kate cross paths when they take over Skylin High School at the County Fair. The show depicts a complicated triangle story and the mystery continues.

In Dallas, Texas, the first season of Cruel Summer was filmed over the course of six months. In Richmond, British Columbia, the second season’s filming started on April 21, 2022, and it was finished on September 7, 2022.
The renewal of the second season of Cruel Summer was announced in June 2021. As of now, we only know that Season 2 will be out in 2022. However, fans are upset about the cliffhanger at the end of season 1 and starting a new season with a whole new storyline and cast. Hoping for the quick release of Season 2.

Cruel Summer Season 2 is not yet premiered on Freeform. However, you can watch the first season of ten episodes on Hulu.
