Disenchantment season 5 is an American animated series. It is an adult satirical fantasy sitcom. It was created by Matt Groening. This is the first series that was produced by Groening productions that was to be available for online streaming. The story is set in a medieval fantasy kingdom of dreamland. The story is all about a princess who is an alcoholic and rebellious with her naïve companion Elfo and her destructive “personal demon” Luci.
The series already had four seasons and the first season was premiered on August 17, 2018. Each season had 10 episodes which makes a total of 40 episodes for 4 seasons. It received huge appreciation for the last season 4 and the people were already ready for the season 5 to come. The fourth season was aired in February 2022. Disenchantment Season 5 Cast
As I told you before, the show is coming back again with its brand new season, season 5 of your favorite show. You can be assured about seeing all the main characters who were a part of the previous 4 seasons. The main character includes Abbi Jackson, Eric Andre, Nat Faxon, John DiMaggio, Tres MacNeile, and many others.
Abbi Jackson is seen as Bean, who is a 19-year-old princess from dreamland. Her full name is princess Tiabeanie Mariabeanie De La Rochambeau Grunkwitz, which I know is a very long name and that’s why she is called as Bean. In the series, she has a rebellious personality but at the same time she also cares for the people of Dreamland. During the course of the series, she gets to know about the magical power that she owns of producing black lightning that she had.
Eric Andre is playing the role of Luci, Bean’s personal demon as pendargast, who is the head of king zog’s knight.
Nat Faxon as Elfo, who is 18 year old-half elf from Elfwood.
Tress MacNeile is seen as queen Oona. She is Bean’s stepmother and king Zog’s second wife. She is an amphibian creature from Dankmire.
John Dimaggio is portraying the character of King Zog, Bean’s father and also the ruler of Dreamland. He was from the royal house of Grunkwitz.
Maurice LeMarche as Odval is seen as the prime minister of Dreamland.
Matt Berry is seen as the Prince Merkimer from Bentwood. He was arranged to get married to Bean but unfortunately turns out to be a bad guy.
Sharon Morgan as queen Dogmar, Bean’s mother and she is also the first wife of king Zog. During the series, it was seen that she was an evil sorceress and tyrant who wanted Bean to complete her family debts to the underworld. But Bean refused to do so.
Disenchantment Season 5 Plot
The season four of the series left us with a lot of questions than answers. And these questions are going to be the plot of season five. Season 5 is going to tie up all the loose ends and solve all the mysteries that were unresolved in season 4. Season 5 is going to get deeper into the life of Bean and the relationship she shares with the fish lady who seems to be very mysterious. It is going to explain a lot more about the relationship Bean shares with her mother Queen Dogmar. We will also get to see how she uses the new found magical power.
Disenchantment Season 4 Ending Explained
The end of series 4 was sad for three, Princess Bean, Elfo, and young elf and Luci as they were all sent to heaven and hell. Luci died at the end of this season and we are concerned about what happened to her in heaven as she was covered by dreary creatures. Queen Oona and Queen Dagmar, the evil mothers are reunited.
The last season explains the importance of family and the ways in which it influences us. Bean reclaims the control of her body and enters physical reality and ends evil existence. Freckles, Derek and Japer have been hunted by Zog and Odval. Bean was saved by mora, who rushed to his aid once more. Dreamland was taken over by Satan, the lord of hell along with Dogmar which made things worse.
Disenchantment Season 5 Release date
There’s good news for all of the disenchantment fans, yes the franchise has come up with season five of this amazing series. Season 5 has been renewed by the fox broadcasting company. Season 4 ended in February 2022 and after that, fans started screaming for season 5. The company has not announced any official dates for the release of the new season of disenchantment but according to the previous timelines followed by the fox company, it is assumed to be released by the end of the first quarter of 2023. Everyone waits for the trailer to know what is going to happen in the upcoming series. And disenchantment fans are also waiting for the same but there is no official trailer released by the fox company yet. It is difficult to tell the exact date of its trailer but all we can predict is to receive an official trailer by February as the trailer is released one month prior to the release of the show.
