Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Filming Locations

Where Was Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Filmed

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ was shot mostly around London, Surrey, and other parts of England, the United States, Canada, Iceland, Norway, and Italy. Shooting began in December 2020, but progress was severely hampered by the emergence and spread of the pandemic concern and the consequent curfew of England. The project was only able to resume shooting in March 2021, and the shoot was wrapped up a few months later.

London, England

Several scenes in the movie were shot in London, a culturally diverse city in England’s heartland. The actors and crew paid a visit to the important historical Freemason’s Hall, which is located at 60 Great Queen Street in London’s Covent Garden area. The United Grand Lodge of England and the Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of England’s offices are both built in Art Deco style. Many films have used the historical rendezvous point as a shooting location, ranging from Guy Ritchie’s ‘Sherlock Holmes’ to Armando Iannucci’s ‘The Death of Stalin.’

Surrey, England

The actors and directors also travelled to Surrey, which is located in South East England, just south of London. In the region, certain sequences were shot in a supervised artificial atmosphere. The team put up a tent in Longcross Studios, a film manufacturing plant in the Long cross district of Surrey, at Chobham Lane.

The 5 surround sound speakers of the facility typically range from 8000 to 42000 square feet and therefore can accommodate any amount of performance. Many movies have been produced there, including Martin Scorsese’s ‘Hugo’ and Marvel’s own ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ The Broomfield Hill Car Park, a parking lot in Surrey’s Richmond Park neighbourhood, was yet another notable spot. At the end of March 2021, the company recorded mostly in that location a lot.

Somerset, England

The Burrow Hill Cider Farm in Somerset is a pivotal place in Maximoff’s plot. The estate, which is located at Burrow Hillside Martock in Somerset, served as a set for several scenes in the movie and was heavily recorded in April 2021. Benedict Cumberbach was apparently observed sampling the local cider, under which the estate is known throughout the region.

Los Angeles, California

The cast members were taken to the City of Angels by the filmmaker to film multiple segments. Following the completion of shooting, Raimi and his team were dissatisfied with a few of the scenes. As a result, new script rewrites began in December 2021 in Los Angeles. The seaside city is well-known for being one of cinema’s global centres.

Vancouver, British Columbia

Several sequences were shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, a lively marine town with a thriving movie industry and a varied mix of ethnicities. The production unit appears to have shot multiple sequences around the town, as well as considering a permanent site there.

New York City, New York

The team was taken to New York City by the filmmaker to film several shots. New York takes on a crucial role in Strange’s plot. Some outside shots, probably featuring Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum action sequences, were shot in the historic city. New York City is also shown in the very first film in several circumstances. It may be tracked down, Strange’s apartment from the first movie on Manhattan’s affluent Upper West Side if it is interesting enough.

Numerous sequences were shot mostly around Norway, that plays an important role in the MCU’s mythology. The Asgardian legends, including Thor and Loki’s story arcs, are set in Norway. As a result, it was no surprise that certain scenes were filmed in the region. To lure international production, Norway has spectacular scenery and a 25% monetary incentive programme. From ‘Thor’ to ‘Black Widow,’ Norway has aided multiple MCU films.

In addition to Norway, Iceland, a Western European country, was used for shooting. Although Iceland is Europe’s least populated nation, it also has the most diverse scenery, including plumes, volcanoes, and mountains. One should sample the odd meal if ever visited the country.

The development team’s long journey came to an end in Italy. They shot in a variety of sites across the country, including some bohemian landscapes. The specifics of the production in the area, however, are shrouded in secrecy. Italy, which is bordered on three sides by the Mediterranean Sea, has one among the finest environments and cultures in Europe, making it an excellent place to visit.
