In February 2022, IFC announced the renewal of the 4th season of ‘Documentary Now!.’ They also announced the documentaries which will be spoofed in the episodes of season 4.

- ‘Three Salons at the Seaside’ and ‘The September Issue’ as Two Hairdressers in Bagglyport. Three salons at the Seaside deal with love, loss, and determination to carry on and make the best of things with a sense of humor. The September Issue showcases the behind-the-scenes of Anna Wintour and her staff during the production of the September 2007 issue involving American vogue magazine.
- ‘When we were Kings’ as How they threw Rocks. The documentary When we were kings explores the relationship between Africans and Americans.
- The films of ‘Agnès Varda’ as Trouver Frisson(Finding Frisson). Agnès Varda was a French film director, screenwriter, and photographer. She was known for her New wave movies of the 1960s.
Documentary Now Season 4 Release Date
After a long wait of 3 years, the most wanted mockumentary series release is near. Documentary Now! is coming back for Season 4 on October 19, 2022. In advance, the episodes of Trouver Frisson, My Monkey Grifter, and Two Hairdressers in Bagglyplot premiered in the Slate of Documentary at the Toronto International Film Festival on the 9th of September 2022.

Every season of Documentary Now! was received positively by the audience and was critically acclaimed by so-called critics. Also on IMDB, the show has a good rating of 8.1 out of 10. Documentary Now!
