Fuuka Season 1 is based on the same-named manga series by Koji Seo, it is a Japanese anime series. It debuted on January 6, 2017, and Diomedéa is in charge of production.

While Funimation created and broadcast an English-dubbed version in North America, Crunchyroll simulcast the English-subtitled version. Funimation published the show on DVD/Blu-ray in 2019; the English release included songs that were dub-subbed into English and included both language versions of the show.

As you might anticipate, Fuuka brings its meandering plot to a finish, bringing an end to a program that started off strong before going off course.

Fuuka Season 1 is the follow-up of the 2004 TV show Suzuka. The plot centers on Yuu Haruna, a lonesome Twitter user who promised to establish a band with his childhood friend Koyuki Hinashi. One evening, he stops to capture a picture to post on Twitter on his way to get dinnT$UYO$HIer.

He unintentionally comes into a strange high school girl named Fuuka Akitsuki, who then smashes his phone because she thinks Yuu is trying to capture a picture of her underwear. Yuu receives a CD from Fuuka and returns it the next day. Fuuka begins a relationship with Yuu because she likes his personality, but things get tricky when Koyuki, a now-famous idol, finds Yuu via Twitter and asks him to a party.

So after stages of ups and downs in their love life, Fuuka breaks the band she forced everyone into while Yuu poured his heart out in a song, Fuuka still does not feel normal about seeing him and the band. She believes she won’t be forgiven quickly because she took the decision to leave out of selfishness. Additional feelings she struggles to understand or, more accurately, accept these sentiments.

But now that Koyuki has made Fuuka aware of her sentiments, just like she had done with Yuu, she understands how she is feeling. She is open and honest about her emotions, which enables her to tell Yuu that she loves him too after he declares his love for her. This resulted in The Fallen Moon formally coming together and, much to everyone’s surprise, the band landing a record deal. One that appears to be nothing more than a growth of the one Fuuka was given. 

Resulting in what we witness in this final episode, which is typical, “Oh yes, I really screwed things up, but we don’t have time to cope with working through all the feelings that resulted from my selfishness. Just get over it, act joyful as if nothing happened, and resume business as usual.
