Gilmore Girls Season 8 Plot
The Gilmore Girls season 8 plot revolves around the two major characters- A mother and daughter duo. Lorelai Gilmore is 32 years old and is a single mother and her daughter is an intellectual teenager named Rory Gilmore. Lorelai was born and brought up by her rich parents in Hartford. The plot of the story is set early in the show. After Lorelai became pregnant with Rory at 16 by her childhood boyfriend Christopher Hayden, her feelings of familial alienation increased. This eventually motivated her to take her infant daughter away to a close-knit small town named Star Hollow in Connecticut.
She worked as a maid after finding a shelter in Independence Inn and over the years she developed a very close relationship with her daughter, Rory. They lived like best friends and not like a typical mother-daughter relationship. They enjoyed each other’s company. Lorelai is proud of the independent life she has forged away from her parents. But after Rory is admitted to the Chilton Preparatory School as she was not able to pay the tuition fees, she had to go to her parents for financial needs.
Emily and Richard agree to pay for Rory’s education, so long as Lorelai and Rory join them every Friday night for dinner. This sets up one of the show’s primary, ongoing conflicts: the Gilmore family is forced to face their differences and complicated past, their interactions fueled by these weekly Friday night dinners together. The series also focuses on both women’s ambitions: Rory to attend Harvard University and become a journalist, and Lorelai to open an inn with her best friend Sookie St. James.
Gilmore Girls Season 8 Plot is about getting deeper into the lives of both women. It is also going to get deeper into the life of Rory if she is able to succeed in her dreams and what she does after achieving her ambitions. The plot of the story shows the female relationships of different women as well.
