Four stoner friends rent a small apartment in New York. One of their friends, Kenny, goes out to get them something to eat one night. On his way back, he feeds some of his junk food to a police horse, which causes the diabetic horse to die. Kenny’s life was messed up after the incident as he was captured and arrested by a police officer. The three remaining friends are now trying to raise a million dollars to pay his dear friend’s bail bond. Their involvement with weed selling becomes apparent at this point.

Despite having Dave Chappelle as a protagonist, the film lacks smart and provocative humor. However, the film is worth watching if you’re a fan of Dave Chappelle because having him as a protagonist helped us become more engaged with the plot. Other characters in the film, including Mary Jane, also performed well in addition to Dave Chappelle.

After making a lot of money selling weed, the three friends caught the attention of the local drug dealer Sampson. Sampson threatens to kill them unless they start paying him their profits, and to make his point, he kills their dog. Hence, to save their lives, the three stoner friends require more weed to sell, though all three were held in custody by police while stealing the weed.

However, the cops are more interested in Sampson than these potheads, so the three agreed to assist the cops in capturing Sampson; unfortunately, the police failed to arrive on time at the meeting. Luckily, their lives were saved when Sampson was taken out by the ghost of Jerry Garcia and cops arrived to arrest the drug kingpin. At the end of the movie, Kenny was released by the cops. Hence, despite numerous challenges, Half Baked Ending explained a happy ending.
