Hilda Season 2 Summary
Hilda participates and wins in an Essay writing competition. The prize for winning the competition is spending a day out with Erik Ahlberg, the head of the Security Patrol. The tour makes them go outside the wall, and right into Mexican Stand with all the Trolls. Hilda saves them, but not before this member of the Alhberg family reveals his actual motives, and he is getting Trolberg ready for a confrontation with the Trolls.
Hilda and Frida follow the librarian accidentally through a hidden passage and are taken to the Witches’ Tower. In this historic haven, local witches engage in magically-based rituals. Frida exhibits witch-like abilities. Frida has developed into a genuine witch’s apprentice at the end of this journey. David, unfortunately, enters an enchanted Viking battle where immortal warriors engage in conflict every night. He is enlisted as a courier on the battlefield and, by daylight, has been taken over by the spirit of a Viking warrior. David regains his fearfulness with the aid of his pals.
After her weather station was destroyed, Victoria Van Gale changed her ways. She needs the help of Hilda, David, and Frida to prevent a disastrous rip in Nowhere Space. Hilda assembles a disparate group of friends and organizes a bell-system sabotage operation in the vein of “Ocean’s Eleven.” To defeat the fire-breathing Lindworm, Safety Patrol chief Ahlberg leads an attack squad to Cauldron Island. To find the true sea monster, Hilda and Frida descend into the harbor. Hilda is grounded at home as a result of her repeated curfew violations and dishonest behavior.
She stumbles upon a portal to Trolberg’s past, about 40 years ago, while snooping on a mysterious neighbor who has been constantly thinking back on love’s “lost connection.” A paradox-hungry Time Worm appears as a result of Hilda interfering with the past to alter the future. It’s a crazy trip across space and time! Twig heeds the call of the wild and flees Trolberg to travel on their enigmatic, cosmological migration with their deerfox comrades. Hilda and her mother follow him into the bush while looking for clues in their memories of Hilda and Twig’s first meeting.
Hilda and the Yule Lads must cooperate to prepare a different holiday feast for the hungry Gryla to eat as it approaches them. Gil, a local snack machine stocker, experiences supernatural luck thanks to the enchanted Tide Mice, catapulting him to the position of CEO of the “Jorts” snack food empire. The final disenchantment requires a supernatural Ghostbusters-style pursuit through the office building to the top floor. They look for a way out while avoiding trolls. David and Frida depart Trolberg in the meantime to look for Hilda.
Finally, Johanna puts Hilda to bed at home so she can get some much-needed rest. The following morning, though, Johanna finds Hilda missing as she serves her breakfast in bed. The Troll child, in her place, protrudes from the blankets.
