How A Realist Hero Rebuilt The Kingdom Season 2 Plot
The show follows the story of Souma Kazuya who is our protagonist. Souma is determined to make Elfrieden, his newly acquired kingdom the most powerful place in the Landia. For this, he uses his wits and extraordinary diplomacy instead of strength, as rulers usually do. He brings in his knowledge from his experience as a Humanities major in college.
Souma is summoned as the last hope to save Elfriede. He proves his worthiness by sorting the kingdom’s finances which impresses king Albert Elfriede. This leads to the king giving his throne as well as his daughter Liscia’s hand to Souma. But our protagonist, Souma is unexpected in his response. He assures them that he will take the throne and save Elfrieden, but he doesn’t intend to keep it. Instead, he insists he will give it to Liscia once everything is settled, even offering that he doesn’t have to marry Liscia.
To save the kingdom, Souma starts planning to rebuild it with the help of several people. He uses the Gemstone Broadcast system to reach out to people hoping they might possess some skills that could be useful in his mission. Because of the broadcasting, Aisha, a dark elf comes forward to help him. Later, we see Juna Doma, a songstress coming forward followed by Poncho Panacotta and Tomoe Inui.
After the court is assembled, as an initial step Souma uses Poncho’s skills to ensure the problem of hunger is solved in the kingdom. Once the food issue is solved, he sets off to deal with other issues like roads etc. He goes on dealing with the issues on his hand, but it displeases the residents. This makes Souma question his abilities and simultaneously, leads to the formation of a rebellious group. The rebellion is led by Gaius Amidonia, ruler of the neighboring nation. Soon, a fight is fought between the two and Souma wins the rebellion taking over Amidonia.
