So basically the story is about blind Murphy who has a job in her parent’s school which is guiding the dogs. She lives a simple life until, during a walk with her dog, she stumbles upon a corpse. Horrified, she tries to run away but before the police arrive, the corpse disappears on its own. It is then that she decides that she would solve the murder mystery on her own no matter what. It involves her friends as she wants to u coverage mystery of what happened to her friend.
She has 2 besties One, Jess is an understanding roomie, and the other is Tyson a teenage drug dealer who saved her from a violent mugging. So basically season 4 is rumored to be the last season for the series which is not true there has been news regarding the renewal of season 5. The story in the last season is about drunk dazed Murphy seeking to solve the case of her friend’s murder on her own.
This later becomes her sole mission as she completely isolates herself from the world to be able to save the case. So she plays various roles from receptionist initially to a runaway woman to getting stuck in unexpected situations. So this season has Murphy and her friends facing new dilemmas and troubles, excitement, and adventures which they solve in their own Murphy way.

In The Dark Season 1 aired on 4th April 2019. Shortly after that, it was renewed for a second season which aired on 16th April 2020. The 3rd season was aired on 23rd January 2021. The series was renewed for a 4th season which aired on June 6, 2022.
