Netflix has marketed “First Class” as an unscripted series since it was first announced. However, one should always take reality shows with a grain of salt since producers frequently alter how we view the events once a show is in pre-production to give the narrative a dramatic spin. An unscripted series, however, guarantees that everything we see or hear on the show occurs spontaneously. Producers never write a scene in advance or carry out a pre-planned action in front of the cameras.

The ensemble of “First Class” not only flaunts their ideal lifestyles but also shares some of their most embarrassing secrets with the camera, giving the impression that the show is entirely unscripted.

None of those events is hosted by the production. It’s interesting to note that despite having cameras following the group around as they go about their daily lives, none of them hesitates to open up about it on television. To provide the cameras with a candid insight into their professional lives, designers Archie Allen Martinez and artist Aldo Comas first invited the cameras into their respective studios.

On the other side, the majority of the cast members conducted themselves in private when they spoke about their personal life and urged Marc Patsy to recommit to his wife. The programme even includes footage of a tarot reading, which uncannily uncovers some of the cast members’ darkest fears and secrets for everyone to see.

Although the events in “First Class” aren’t scripted, viewers should keep in mind that editing plays a sizable part in the version we see on our television screens. An unscripted series typically has very small changes made here and there by the production staff to keep viewers interested and engaged. However, these modifications are hardly noticeable, thus when watching “First Class,” one may be confident that the events shown are as real as they can be.

First Class is available on Netflix.
