Limitless is an American television comedy-drama based on a 2011 film of the same name. It was a derivation of the movie and the movie in fact was based on a 2001 novel, The Dark Fields. The show initially aired on CBS from September 2015 to April 2016. The first season got a positive reception from the audience and the critics. Fans of this show have been waiting for Limitless Season 2 since the release of the first season.
It is set in the genre of Comedy-drama with a tinge of science-fiction and thriller. Limitless is mainly centred on Brian Finch. He unexpectedly discovered a mysterious drug named NZT-48. Brian was unaware of the powers and capabilities of NZT-48. He later discovered that the drug could fully expand the potential of the human brain and can enhance the mental functionality of human beings.

Limitless Season 2 Plot Speculation
The show started by introducing the main lead to the audience. Brian Finch was a 28-year-old struggling musician. He lacked in almost everything except music and was fully exhausted and frustrated from his daily life.
He somehow got introduced to an unknown drug which had extreme reactions. The drug was named NZT-48 and it was capable of enhancing the mental abilities of human beings. At first, Brian hesitated to take the pill but he followed his intuition and took the pill.
Brian considered himself a failure. All his friends succeeded in life and he was still in the same place struggling. He took the pill to overcome anxiety and stress due to his career and it had unexpected consequences.
The miracle drug gave Brian access to every neuron of his brain. His mental powers were impeccable at the time of drug consumption. He could sense his body enhancing and being capable of almost everything.
For twelve hours after taking the pill, Brian was one of the smartest people in the world. He could recall every instance and moment of his life since the day he was born. He got an impressive sense of detail and could identify intended details which nobody could visualise.
However, Eli, a friend of Brian was brought to death in gunfire. The FBI suspected Brian to be the murderer. But Brian passed out the guilt and accusation with the help of the drug. Brian constantly consumed the drug without thinking of its dire consequences.
He eventually met Eddie who promised him to provide more drugs with a cure which would keep him alive. But he had a clause that Brian could not reveal to the FBI. FBI was unable to find the medicine which could counter the effects of NZT.
Brian got hired by an FBI agent, Rebecca Harris. Rebecca made Brian sure that the cure of his father’s disease would be taken care of by the FBI if he determines himself to help the agency. He agreed to this and started working for the FBI with Rebecca.
He consumed drugs all time to showcase his unmatchable intelligence and sense. Everybody in the FBI was stunned and had a question how was he able to do it?
Brian made the impossibles, possible in reality. He figured out every case whether it involved physics or maths, he solved everything. However, Rebecca found out about Brian’s NZT pill and the pill caused something worse like a pandemic in the world.
Brian and the FBI together managed to find a cure for the disease outbreak and cured everyone. Brian got a job in the cop department and everything came to a pause in the last episode.
There was still a question that the first season of Limitless didn’t answer. In the first episode, Brian was offered NZT by Eddie. But the show didn’t reveal who Eddie was and how did he get the drug. Why did he want to keep it a secret from the FBI? Where did he go after the first episode?
Everyone is waiting for the answers to these questions. Limitless Season 2 will surely have to answer the mysteries it left in the first season.
