Love and Death is an upcoming American true crime web series, the series will follow a storyline of a murder case wherein Candy is wrongfully blamed. The original story goes back to the early 1980s which was a murder case wherein Candy Montgomery ended up killing her friend and her neighbor, Betty Gore. There is a book as well which was written on the true story Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs, the series was also referred to the book and a few articles which were written in the Texas Monthly.

The series will show the viewers how things changed for a happy family and the entire story in the form of a thriller series instead of a documentary.

The protagonist of the series is Elizabeth Olsen, she is an American actress popularly known as Wanda in the marvel movies, she is praised for her roles in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Endgame, and Wanda Vision, she will also be starring in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releasing in 2022, she plays the role of Candy Montgomery in the series.

Lily Rabe, is an American actress widely popular for her roles in American Horror Story and recently started working on Tell Me Your Secrets, she plays the role of Betty Gore. Jesse Plemons, is an American actor who debuted in the acting industry as a child actor, he has previously starred in several series movies out of which he was most popular in the series Friday Night Lights from NBC, besides he has starred in Breaking Bad, The Power of the Dog and Jungle Cruise, he plays the role of Allan Gore in the series.

Patrick Fugit is an American actor widely famous for his roles in Almost Famous, Outcast, and White Oleander, he plays the role of Pat Montgomery in the series. Krysten Ritter is an American actress and model widely popular for her role in Breaking bad as well as in the film El Camino, she plays the role of Sherry Cleckler in the series.

The other characters of the series include Tom Pelphrey as Don Crowder, Keir Gilchrist as Ron Adams, Elizabeth Marvel as Jackie Ponder, Aaron Jay Rome as Richard, Mackenzie Astin as Tom O’ Connell, and Bruce McGill as Tom Ryan.

Love and Death Storyline

The series is based on a true story that occurred in the 1980s, it was mainly inspired by the book which was written on this story. The storyline follows the life of Betty and Candy who become friends after being neighbors, Betty has a beautiful family who is happy and living life to their fullest until she is murdered by her friend Candy.

Candy after she was arrested claimed that she killed Betty due to self-defense and had no ill intention of killing her, the series will go through several courtroom scenes wherein they show how the families of both sides respond to this and the victim’s grief. During the trial, the truth is revealed upon whether or not Candy will be held liable since she will have to prove that she was first attacked by Betty and that Betty had ill intentions toward her. The series is a thriller-based story following a documentary vibe but in a cinematographic manner.

David R. Kelly scripted the entire series, he is an American writer and producer who previously worked as an attorney, he has created several films such as Nine Perfect Strangers, Boston Legal, Ally McBeal, The Practice, and Big Little Lies.

The series has been directed by Lesli Linka Glatter, she is an American director widely popular for her works in Homeland, she was previously nominated for the Academy Award for Live Action Short Film. The executive producers are David R. Kelly and Nicole Kidman. The production companies involved are Blossoms Films, Texas Monthly, and Lionsgate Television.
