Love of Kill is a Japanese manga romantic-mystery anime series illustrated and written by Fe. The series is based on the life adventures of Chateau Dankworth during her bounty hunting missions when she comes across, a professional hitman and assassinator, Song Ryang-ha. Song Ryang-ha is actually a secret admirer of Chateau Dankworth who is helping in her missions for a date with her.
Love of Kill (Korosi Ai) is a periodical in Media Factory’s shōjo manga magazine Monthly Comic Gene ever since October 2015 and is also gathered in 11 volumes of tankōbon. The first episode of Love of Kill “What’s Your Name” premiered on 13th January 2022 with the concluding episode “My Name” aired on 31st March 2022. Each episode of this anime series varies from 21 to 25 minutes with 12 episodes in total.
Love of Kill Season 1 Plot and Ending Explained
The plot of Love of Kill revolves around a newbie bounty hunter, Chateau Dankworth who is infamous for conveying the demands of her clients. Though, every time she is backed up by a mysterious man for carrying out her work. Later, she is asked to track and kill a dangerous man named Song Ryang-ha who turns out to be her secret admirer. She figures out that the man who was helping her was none other than Song Ryang-ha.
In the last episode of Love of Kill, Song Ryang-Ha is injured badly around the neck but still manages to escape with Chateau. However, Son got to know that Ryang-ha died while saving Chateau so he took his name in his honor. Later on, Chateau hires Son to assassinate Donny but she’s confused as he refuses to accept money. The show ended with a cliffhanger where Son tells Chateau to figure out what he really wants as his payment.
Love of Kill Season 2 Release Date
The Platinum Vision has not yet renewed Love of Kill for season 2. Although, none of the makers or writers of the show has made any official comment regarding the continuity of the series. Season 1 has a few loose ends that need to be concluded. And the finale barely provided the conclusion of the entire series.
Fortunately, the audience liked the show very much which gives a strong possibility for the release of season 2 of Love of Kill. But since season 1 covered seven out of eleven volumes of Fe’s manga anime series, this means this series is going to be a multi-year release. So, even if Love of Kill is renewed for season 2, it is going to be released in somewhere mid-2024.
Love of Kill Season 2 Expected Plot
Season 2 of Love of Kill might comprise the past and childhood of both Chateau Dankworth as well as Ryang-ha. With that, the series might reveal the reasons for Son not wanting any of the monetary benefits from Chateau upon his hiring. Also, it is expected that Donny’s connection with Chateau’s father and grandfather is also revealed. The viewers might have to wait for a long time for the second season.
