Ms. Marvel is a character from the Marvel comics, she was introduced in 2014 as the first Pakistani Muslim American superhero to feature in her own solo comic series. Ms. Marvel is a series based on the comic book series, it has all the marvel fans super excited about the visual representation of the character. The series was decided to start its shooting by the year 2018 but it was officially announced in 2019 that the series will be filmed and released soon.

The character was created by Sana Amanat and first appeared in Captain Marvel in August 2013, the character is a teenager named Kamala Khan with supernatural powers who decides to become a superhero and help people in need. Kamala decides to call herself Ms. Marvel taken from Carol Danvers and further decides to go by the name Captain Marvel. Kamala was always a fan of comics and supernatural powers but when she discovers such a thing in herself she is absolutely shaking. The storyline proceeds to show us the beginning to the end of her journey as she continues to do the things she loves to do.

Ms. Marvel Release Date

The series Ms. Marvel has been announced to release on 8 June 2022. The series was supposed to be released at the end of 2021 but it was shifted to mid-2022.

Who are the cast of Ms. Marvel?

The protagonist of the series is Iman Vellani, she is a Pakistani-Canadian actress debuting in Ms. Marvel as Kamala Khan. She has been announced to feature in the future series The Marvels. Fawad Khan is a Pakistani actor, screenwriter, and singer popularly known for his role in the Bollywood movie Kapoor and sons. He previously received the Filmfare Award, six Hum Awards, and won the Lux Style Awards three times. Plays the role of Hasan in the show.

Saagar Shaikh is an actor who previously starred in several series such as Liza on Demand Office-Topia Worker, Enemy Muslim Man, You Can’t Do That Party Guy, and Unfair and Ugly Haaris Shaikh. He plays the role of Amir Khan in Ms. Marvel. Rishi Shah is a British Indian actor known for his role in All the Boys: Always and Forever. He plays the role of Kamran in the show. Aramis Knight, he is an American actor best known for his role in Ender’s Game as Bean and the AMC series Into the Badlands as M.K. He plays the role of Kareen in the show.

Matt Lintz, is an American actor widely popular for his role in Pixels as Matty Van Patten as well as in The Walking Dead. He plays the role of Bruno Carrelli. The other casts include Mohan Kapoor as Yusuf Khan, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba, Yasmeen Fletcher as Nakia Bahadir, Nimra Bucha as Najma, Laith Nakli as Sheik Abdul, and Travina Springer as Tyesha.

What is Ms. Marvel all about

This series is based on a comic wherein Kamala Khan, a Pakistani immigrant who lives in New Jersey begins her journey as a Marvel fan. Kamala is obsessed with Marvel comics and prefers Marvel over everything, she lives in her fantasy world of living as a superhero someday in her life which typically seems impossible in reality. She is bullied and mistreated in her school for being Pakistani at first as well as marked as the weirdo of the class for liking Marvel.

The plot of the story in Ms. Marvel begins when she discovers she has supernatural powers, at first she thinks she is under an illusion because of her constant interest in the Marvel world but soon realizes. The reason behind her powers is shown later, due to an experiment done centuries ago by Kree, an alien species, her ancestors were part of it and she also is inhuman. Although after years but because of her obsession with supernatural powers, her natural powers were activated. After she gains her power she proceeds to become a superhero herself.

Who are the Creators of Ms. Marvel

The creator of Ms. Marvel is Bisha K. Ali, she is a British screenwriter, who is the head writer of Ms. Marvel. Sana Amanat is an American comic book editor famously known for her works in Captain Marvel and Ultimate Comic: Spider-Man. Ms. Marvel is her first solo creation, she intended to approach a different concept in the series by adding the protagonist as Muslim instead of an American character.

Along with G. Willow Wilson, is an American comic writer and Stephen Wacker also contributed to the creation of Ms. Marvel. The artists involved are Adrian Alphona, he is a Canadian comic book artist, and Jamie McKelvie, he is an American illustrator as well as a cartoonist. The series is produced by Kevin Feige along with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Brad Winderbaum. Ms. Marvel is entirely produced by Marvel Studios.

The trailer of Ms. Marvel was released on 15 of March 2022, the trailer shows us the typical life of a high school student living in her fantasy land but mystery gains supernatural powers.

There was also a Sizzle which was released wherein the creator talks about the series and the character introduction. The Sizzle was released one year ago on 11 of December 2020.

Ms. Marvel can be streamed only on Disney Plus Hotstar. The series includes a total of six episodes.
