The Lightning Thief was the first part of the film series and it laid the foundation for the upcoming sequels. This movie focused on the story of Percy Jackson about how he discovered that he was a demigod and how he adapted to that fact. His life wasn’t depicted as easy. He had several health problems.
He saw some weird incidents happening around him and had a confusing instinct until he was encountered by a strange monster on a beach who came out of nowhere. Percy was baffled to see him. That creature was after Percy and attacked his mother leading her to disappear.
Percy’s friend, Grover took him to some camp where he found out that he was a Demi god. Grover explained to Percy that he was half human and half god. At the camp, he made several acquaintances and that was where he first saw her love interest, Annabeth.
Percy’s father was accused of stealing from the king and Percy was ordered to return the belonging on behalf of his father. Percy then set on a quest to return the belonging and rescue his mother. The quest was full of dangers and adventure. Annabeth and Grover accompanied and helped Percy succeed in his mission.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Sea of Monsters Overview
The sequel of Percy Jackson & The Olympians was released in 2013. It continued the story of Percy Jackson. This movie explored some relations of Percy Jackson. It showed how Percy adapted himself to his new life and how well he is doing with his new identity.
Percy also discovered that he has a half-brother, Tyson. This movie lifted the benchmarks of action and adventure set by its first installment. Percy and his friends embarked on a journey to save a magical tree.
The magical tree held the spirit of Zeus’s daughter, Thalia Grace who died while saving Annabeth, Luke, and Grover. Percy realized that the magical tree was responsible for the protection of Camp Half-Blood.
To rescue this tree, Percy and his friends needed to travel through the sea of monsters where challenges awaited them.
