The pistol is an upcoming web series based on a memoir called “Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol” by Steve Jones. The historical web series conveys about four reckless boys who are tired and annoyed by the corrupt government and discourage the idea of a system in the world. They together start a boy band called the Sex Pistols, hence the name of the show suggests. After establishing this band they continue to spread their ideology to the world through their music and change the culture of the music industry in their own manner.
The series is dedicated to the Sex Pistols and shows us the life of these hammered boys. He plays the role of Steve Jones in Pistol, one of the main characters.

The pistol is a biography of Steve Jones, he was a guitarist and along with his band member, he decides to destroy the monarchy system in the historical period. The storyline is pretty simple, a group of boys with tremendous personalities come together to form a boy band and called themselves Sex Pistols.
In the teaser released the boys are shown with a gist of their personalities, the band’s manager is obsessed with changing the system of the government, and the singer of the band is claimed to be absolutely insane and unable to function like a normal human being mental, their bass player has a temper issue or more like bipolar start random fights with people for fun or so and Steve as the main character is a sex maniac.
The band is a complete mess and typically has no goals or aim in their life, they spend their life enjoying and holding concerts around while gaining fame on the go. The pistol is a whole rollercoaster entertaining the youth and portraying the punk music culture in British during the late 70s, they were known to be one of the most influential bands in that century with their strong sense of doing something different. The series conveys to us the story of the Sex Pistols and their journey towards achievement.
Who are the creators of Pistol?
The series is created by Craig Pearce, an Australian screenwriter and actor popularly known for his role in the soap opera The Restless Years in the year 1981, he has recently contributed to Will in the year 2017, also, he is currently contributing to the upcoming biopic Elvis Presley. He previously won the BAFTA Award and was also nominated for AACTA Award for Best Screenplay. The pistol was directed by Danny Boyle, an English director and producer best known for his works in Shallow Grave, The Beach, 127 Hours, and Slumdog Millionaire.
He previously won the Academy Award for Best Directing in 2009 as well as Golden Globe Award for Best Director in the same year. Anthony Dod Mantle also contributed to the field of cinematography for Pistol, he is a cinematographer and a photographer widely famous for the cinematography of Slumdog Millionaire for which he won the Academy Award as well as the BAFTA Award for Best Cinematography. The proper trailer of the series has not been released, instead, two teasers were released and used for promotion of the FX television channel. The teaser provided the crazy journey of the boys with vintage quality for a nostalgic feeling.
