Sanrio Boys Season 2, is a Japanese media franchise created by Sanrio in November 2015. The Sanrio Boys were following this concept as a social media project to promote merchandise for Sanrio’s best-selling characters. Due to its popularity, it grew to have its merchandise line, a manga series, a series of character drama CDs, a 2016 smartphone game for ios and android, and also an anime television series by pierrot premiered from January 6 to March 24. was adapted into two manga adaptations written and illustrated by Mai Ando, with both series running concurrently.
Sanrio Boys, aka Sanrio Danshi, is a Japanese anime of slice-of-life drama series. It is the sequel of the slice-of-life manga series of the same name by Mai Ando. Studio Pierrot adapted the manga into an anime series that the series was aired on January 6, 2018. It premiered for twelve episodes and concluded on March 24, 2018.
Sanrio Boys Season 2 Storyline
Sanrio Boys Season 2, the Sanrio-produced plush dog PomPomPurin is Hasegawa Kouta’s favorite mascot, and he is a 17-year-old, high school student. He is ashamed of this hobby as he thinks people will laugh when they learn about it. So he keeps hiding this hobby from everyone. But his fate has something else written for him then after some time he meets Yu Mizuno, a big fan of another Sanrio character, Rabbit May Melodi. Slowly he meets more people who have to like the different Sanrio characters and everyone has some fear.
Little Twin Stars are Ryo Nishimiya’s favorite characters (boy Kiki and girl Lala). Seichiro Minamoto, he is the student council president and a member of the archers’ club, is a student at the school. Cinnamon, the white long-eared dog, is his favorite Cinnamoroll character. Their liking towards the character started with some beautiful happy memories but all have only one fear it is against the gender norms. Their genders can’t have liked this type of character.
They decide to fight against it and start with the acceptance of their liking after coming out from their insecurities and fear about the reaction they stat the promotion group on the social media platform where they teach that liking does not have any gender boundaries and the reactions from the audience lead to the franchise of it.

Sanrio Boys Season 2 Important Characters
Yu Mizuno is a sharing boy corresponding to the Sanrio character melody unlike other boys he is not afraid to accept his love for the character which he likes. He is portrayed as being caring to his fellow Saniro members and his sister. He likes to cook and bake he is defensive of his friends and their interests.
Kota Hasegawa is one of five main characters in the series, His favorite Sanrio character is Pompompurin. Kouta was heavily influenced by his grandmother at a young age that’s how he started to like this character. It was his grandmother who gifted him for the first time and he got attached to this toy very much.
Ryo Nishimiya is a bit of a tsundere-like boy, his favorite Sanrio is Little Twin, he wants to be a get manly features as from outside he is. He has feminine features, he blushes at times, makes harsh remarks every now, and takes everything for granted. Nonetheless, it doesn’t change his care for his friends. His best friend in the series is Minamoto.
Subaru Amagaya is a failed middle school exam criminal who loves Badtz-Maru for his crazy anarchic behavior, he thinks it is his responsibility to stand up against his parenting mother. As he does not like his parents and wants them to understand him but meeting Kouta and the other boys full of character, Subaru learns to forget the grudges he has towards his mother and start a new beginning so that he can understand himself and his mother better.
