Aoi and Ema succeeded in obtaining employment at the prestigious Musashino Animation production firm two and a half years later. However, the others are having trouble landing their ideal careers. Shizuka is struggling with the pressure of not being taken seriously as a voice actor, Misa has a stable but unfulfilling job creating 3D models for a car manufacturer, and Midori is a university student determined to follow her ambition of becoming a writer. These five ladies will discover that while there are many detours on the road to success, success can still be attained through tenacity and a dash of eccentric imagination.

Aoi Miyamori joined the school’s animation club with her four closest friends, Ema Yasuhara, Shizuka Sakaki, Misa Td, and Midori Imai, with the intention of creating an anime together. Years later, Shizuka, Misa, and Midori are employed as voice actors, 3D artists, and aspiring writers at Musashino Animation, the animation production company where Ema also works as an animator. Aoi is now employed there as a production assistant. The tale primarily centres on Aoi and her Musashino Animation team as they work on two distinct animation projects—an original anime series and a manga adaptation—while overcoming the challenges that each project poses.

Shirobako Season 1 Ending Explained shows that Aoi is able to persuade Ryosuke to handle the key frames for episode four after attending to Segawa, who had collapsed owing to extreme disorientation brought on by a fever. Ema calls Shizuka, who is currently working as a waitress and learning to be a voice actress, as the recording process goes on, and the two schedule the group’s monthly get-together event. Ema then informs Shizuka that she and Aoi aren’t communicating as much at work and that Aoi appears to be overburdened with work since she is in charge of producing two episodes.

Taro makes an effort to persuade Ryosuke to reconsider his choice, but he is unreceptive. Taro then expresses his rage to Aoi, accusing her of causing the problem and saying that the phone calls were a result of the disagreement. Yutaka Honda, the main production assistant, is desperate to make progress and, despite Seiichi’s protests, confines him inside a cage in the storage room to force him to finish the storyboards for the last episode, which are currently a month behind schedule.

Ryosuke declines to go back to work despite watching the 3D-rendered explosion scene, claiming that things have already gotten out of hand. Aoi finally notifies Honda of his failure to resolve the conflict between Ryosuke and Yuichiro after growing frustrated with Taro’s attitude. Shirobako Season 1 Ending Explained suggests that Honda intends to inform Seiichi of the circumstance as well, but she learns that he managed to sneak away to the post-recording session after escaping his incarceration. Production assistant Tatsuya Ochiai receives a job offer from Studio through his acquaintance, line producer Houjou Hiroaki.
