Shoutai was one of the most awaited dramas by the viewers. It is a Japanese television series by WOWOW. The drama is adapted from the novel by Somei Tamehito. It is named after the same title as the novel. The drama is also known as Identity. This Japanese series is written by Maekawa Yoichi. Maekawa Yoichi is a Japanese screenwriter. Some of his famous works are Tetsu no Hone and Kirin ga Kuru. The drama is directed by Nakata Hideo and Taniguchi Masaaki.
He is most recognized by international audiences for his work on Japanese horror films such as Ring (1998), Ring 2 (1999), and Dark Water (2002). These series were later remade in English. Shoutai Plot
Shoutai translates to Identity. It explains the mystery drama very well as we do not know the original identity of Kaburagi Keiichi.
The series revolves around the protagonist, Kaburagi Keiichi. He was arrested as a suspect for a murder case. As the case proceeded he was found guilty and got sentenced to death. He disrespects the decision and runs away from the jail. While he was transferred to another jail, he took advantage of the situation and escaped. He saves a few people he meets at the hiding spot.
The rescued people discover that Kaburagi is a wanted prisoner, they begin to wonder, if could murder someone.

Kamenashi Kazuya, also known as Kame, is a Japanese actor and idol. He has acted in several movies, dramas, and specials. Some of his admired works are Kaitou Yamaneko, Red Eyes: Kanshi Sousa-hand, and Boku, Unmei no Hito desu. He plays the main protagonist in the thriller. He plays the role of Kaburagi Keiichi. He is wanted a death row prisoner.
Hitomi Kuroki is a popular actress in Japan. She plays a supporting role in the drama. She is well known for her works like Company: Gyakuten no Swan and Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo.
