For Cartoon Network, Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman created the superhero animated television program, Young Justice. Despite its title, it is not a direct adaptation of the Young Justice comic series by Peter David, Todd Dezago, and Todd Nauck. Instead, it is a unique tale set in the DC Universe that focuses on teenage and young adult superheroes.

The show centers on the lives of young superheroes and their sidekicks, including Miss Martian, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Superboy, Red Arrow, and Artemis, who are all part of a made-up covert operation team. The Justice League is a well-known adult superhero team in the program, but a squad of youthful heroes known as “the Team” operates outside of the restrictions placed on the more senior superhero team.

Danny Rand makes a comeback to New York City in the first season to recapture his family business from Harold Meachum and his children Ward Meachum and Joy Meachum after being assumed dead for 15 years. Due to Karl Malus’ experiments, Jessica Jones learns in the second season that her mother is still alive. In the third season, Trish Walker, her adopted sister turned deadly vigilante, and Gregory Sallinger, an adversary out to disprove Jessica Jones, battle it out. Watch this show on Disney+.
