Spriggan Season 2 is a Japanese manga series written by Hiroshi Takashige and illustrated by Ryōji Minagawa. It was serialized in Shogakukan’s shōnen manga magazines Weekly Shōnen Sunday and Shōnen Sunday Zōkan from 1989 to 1996, with its chapters collected in eleven tankōbon volumes.
The manga was adapted into an anime film by Studio 4°C in 1998; Katsuhiro Otomo was involved in adapting. A PlayStation game called Spriggan: Lunar Verse was also based on the manga with some material created for the game. An original net animation (ONA) anime series adaptation by David Production was released in June 2022. The ONA was directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi. It was released on 18 June 2022 and consists of 6 episodes of 45 minutes each.
Spriggan takes place in the last years of the Cold War where mysterious and unknown artifacts called out-of-place artifacts (OOPArt) are discovered in various parts of the world, leading to a secret war between various forces against the ARCAM Corporation, an organization that placed itself the guardians of the OOPArts in order to prevent them from being used as weapons. The show received mixed critics. It holds an IMDb rating of 6.9 out of 10. After the release of season 1 of Spriggan, the audiences have already started talking about it upcoming season.
Spriggan Season 2 Storyline
Spriggan Season 2 Storyline is set in an ancient alien civilization’s relics on Earth hold dangerous powers. The ARCAM corporation’s Spriggan agents must keep them out of the wrong hands. Deep in the Ararat Mountains of Turkey, a secret organization known as ARCAM has been found and it oos called as Noah’s Ark. However, the U.S. Machine Corps., a rogue organization of the Pentagon, wants to take over the Ark as a means of global supremacy. Japanese Spriggan Yu Ominae teams up with French Spriggan Jean-Jacques Mondo to combat members of the U.S. Machine Corps. led by Col. MacDougall a genetically-enhanced boy with deadly psionic powers.
Spriggan Season 2 Plot
Spriggan Season 2 Plot follows an ancient civilization that was known for their advanced technology was once ruled Earth but was destroyed in the end by their misuse. So, they left messages for later generations in the form of indestructible message plates written in ancient Hebrew, informing them that if they could not find a good use for their creations, they should be destroyed.
Chronicling the life of a titular Spriggan agent in his task to seal away ancient technology, it spawned an anime movie and now a new anime series, but this newer iteration doesn’t quite make the cut. Various paramilitaries, national armies, and armed private forces began to secretly search for these “mysterious artifacts” in order to be used for their own good and against their enemies. The ARCAM Corporation and their military arm, the ARCAM Private Army, can stop these forces from destroying themselves with their elite secret agents known as Spriggans (or Strikers).

- Takehito Koyasu s a Japanese voice actor from Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.
- Masayuki Nakata is known for Spriggan.
- Shotaro Morikubo is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer who has voiced characters in anime, drama CDs, and video games. He was formerly affiliated with I’m Enterprise, Sigma Seven, and VIMS.
- Ken Shiroyama was born on October 3, 1932, in Sapporo, Japan. He is an actor, known for Spriggan.
- Katsumi Suzuki is a Japanese voice actor. He is best known as the voice of Kagome’s grandfather in Inuyasha after Ginzo Matsuo’s death, and as the voice of Diddy Kong in many of Nintendo’s video games since 2004 starting with Mario Power Tennis.
Spriggan Season 1 Ending Explained
Spriggan Season 1 Ending follows the exploits of Yu Ominae, a 16-year-old super soldier who’s tasked with finding and securing powerful out-of-place artifacts (OOPArt). Seen as potential weapons of mass destruction, multiple paramilitary groups and nationally backed entities secretly fight over their control. The result is a public Cold War that is anything but. Thankfully, the ARCAM Corporation – poised as the voice of reason and Yu’s current employer – seeks to safeguard the artifacts in an effort to save lives.
Spriggan Season 2 Release Date
Spriggan Season 2 Release Date s not confirmed yet as I mentioned above, the first season of the anime has just been released in June 2022. But the anime was liked by the audiences and it received mixed criticism so we are expecting a season 2 for the show. The Spriggan Season 2 is expected to release by the end of 2023. Yet there is no official update given by the creators of the show but we are hoping that they might come up with season 2.
