Star Wars Visions Season 2 is an American animated anthology television series that brought the franchise to the world of anime. It has been renewed for a second season on Disney+. Star Wars is a perennial sci-fi franchise that entered the world of anime with the release of Star Wars Visions which made its debut in the fall season last year. Season 1 of Star Wars Visions was streamed on September 22, 2021.

Season 1 consisted of nine shorts that focus on different parts of the Star Wars Universe. From the Sith to the fallen Jedi Order and cantinas, Star Wars Visions visited all sorts of stories, and fans met season one with high praise. It was produced by Lucasfilm and the Star Wars Visions series consisted of various original stories set in or inspired by, theStar Wars universe.

The first volume of nine anime short films was produced by seven Japanese animation studios: Kamikaze Douga, Studio Colorado, Geno Studio, Trigger, Cinema Citrus, Production I.G, and Science SARU. The creators at each studio were given free rein to re-envision the ideas of Star Wars as they saw fit while receiving guidance from Lucasfilm’s executive team.

Star Wars Visions Season 2 Plot Speculation

Speculation about what will happen in Star Wars Visions Season 2 is currently unknown. Fans are skeptical about whether Star Wars Visions Season 2 will continue the stories that began in Volume 1 or introduce more new sagas to the galaxy.

The series has so far served as a celebration of George Lucas’ original 1977 film and is a love letter to what made this franchise so unique in the first place. It transports audiences to mystical, faraway lands and tells tales of brave warriors and heroes. Hopefully, season 2 will keep the tradition going.

Star Wars Visions Season 1 Recap

Season 1 of Star Wars Visions started with The Duel. It’s the episode that most goes back to the Akira Kurosawa-directed The Hidden Fortress. Star Wars Visions is credited to have taken inspiration from Star Wars: A New Hope. The episode is in black and white, with the added cool effect of only the things that emanate light being in colour.

Such as lanterns, blaster bolts and of course, lightsabers. The story is also inherently like a Samurai movie. A village being terrorized by some mercenaries find a saviour from an unlikely, and surprising lightsaber-wielding stranger. The first episode was the best way to open the series as it’s full of action and amazing lightsaber duels.

The English voice cast features Lucy Liu and Brian Tee. While some of the episodes in the nine-episode Star Wars: Visions season 1 are some cool tangents set in the Star Wars universe, the familiar tropes are the best. Episodes like The Twins feature a set of twins, from and raised in the Dark Side, coming to odds with one another just when they are at the peak of their destiny.

Lop & Ocho features even more sibling rivalry as two sisters find themselves on the opposite side of the Galactic Empire, but with the same goal. It’s one of those episodes where you can see how even those that turn to the Dark, do so initially with good intentions.
