Stranger Things is an American Science-Fiction Horror Drama streaming on Netflix. This horror drama was created by the Duffer Brothers. The first season of Stranger things was released in July 2016 and followed the release of the second, third, and fourth seasons in October 2017, July 2019, and July 2022. The makers have renewed this fictional drama for Stranger Things Season 5.
The story is set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. The series depicts various supernatural events occurring around the town. It puts forth the mystery of a government-funded child experimentation facility. The show gained instant success and is popular worldwide. It is also referred to as one of Netflix’s flagship series. There has been a total of four seasons till now. It has a total of 32 episodes and season 4 is still not concluded. - Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers. Joyce was the mother of Will and Jonathan Byers. She was divorced from Lonnie Byers. She was in mental trauma after the sudden disappearance of her son, Will Byers. There was something between Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper but it wasn’t showcased purely. She was seen dating her old classmate but he died later in the series.
- David Harbour as Jim Hopper. Jim Hopper was the chief of the Police Department of Hawkins. His young daughter, Sara died of cancer and he divorced after her demise. He was determined to find Joyce’s son, Will Byers, and later became a responsible father to his adopted daughter, Eleven.
- Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler. He was Will’s friend and the middle child of Ted and Karen Wheeler. He was an intelligent and bright student and he later developed feelings for Eleven.
- Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven / Jane Hopper. Eleven was a young girl and a subject of Dr Brenner’s experiment at Hawkins National Laboratory. She had telepathic abilities. She escaped the lab and was helped by Mike and his friends. She was later adopted by Jim Hopper and was seen adapting to normal life.
- Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson. He was one of Will’s and Mike’s friends. His broken teeth were considered a topic of joke at his school. He was seen feeling proud and excited about his new front teeth.
- Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair. Lucas was Will’s and Mike’s friends. He was cautious of Eleven but later became her friend. He was one of Max’s love interests and became her boyfriend.
- Natalie Dyer as Nancy Wheeler. Nancy was the eldest daughter of Karen and Ted and the sister of Mike Wheeler. In the initial episodes, she was the girlfriend of Steve Harrington but she eventually dated Jonathan Byers. She was stunned by the sudden disappearance of her friend, Barbara and went on a quest to find her. She later discovered her dead.
- Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers. The elder brother of Will and son of Joyce Byers. He had a passion for photography. He had a strong bond with his brother and mother.
- Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler. Karen was the mother of Nancy, Mike and Holly.
- Matthew Modine as Dr Martin Brenner. He was the head of Hawkins National Laboratory and was the man behind the experiment with Eleven. His team was hunting for Eleven.
- Noah Schnapp as Will Byers. He was the son of Joyce Byers and was missing in the first season. It was later discovered that he was captured by a monster in an alternate dimension.
- Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield. Max was a new face introduced in season two. She grabbed the attention of Lucas and Dustin. She chose Lucas at the latter of the series.
- Joe Keery as Steve Harrington. Steve was a popular student and the boyfriend of Nancy Wheeler. Nancy and Steve drew apart in Season Two.
- Sean Astin as Bob Newby. Bob was an old high school classmate of Joyce and Hopper. He became Joyce’s boyfriend for a while but was later found dead.
Stranger Things Season 5 Storyline
Stranger Things has always amazed the audience. All the seasons did justice to the standards set by the first season of this crazy drama series. There have been four seasons and it is still not enough for the fans.
It navigated us to the fictional town of Hawkins in Indiana. The story focused on the weird supernaturals and paranormal events occurring in the town. The first season illustrated the dark secrets of Hawkins National Laboratory and introduced a new dimension named ‘The Upside Down’.
The first season portrayed the story through the characters, Eleven and Will. Will was rescued from the captivity of the monster from ‘The Upside Down’ in the second season. The third season showed us the relationship between Mike and Eleven. Eleven was seen adapting to normal human life.
