Sweet Tooth Season 2 Storyline
The beloved comic “Sweet Tooth”, which some also call “Mad Max meets Bambi”, by Vertigo, a company owned by DC which is used to publish Non-DC world characters and comics, was turned into a series.
Sweet Tooth is an American Fantasy Drama set in a post-apocalyptic world where a disease known as “The Sick” has wiped out the majority of the world’s population. Gus, our protagonist, is a young boy with features of both deer and humans. He has antlers and is one of the first hybrid children to exist.
He lives with his father, who’s very religious, in a forest and isn’t allowed to leave the forest. After his father dies, he sets out and meets Tommy Jeppard, who tells Gus that he can take him to “The Preserve,” which was supposed to be a haven for hybrid children. But Tommy is hiding a big secret, and his reasons for helping out Gus are personal and very selfish. The series, as well as Gus, is called “Sweet Tooth” because he ate up all the candies of Tommy.

Sweet Tooth Season 2 Release Date
After Season 1’s tremendous success, the Dystopian world of Sweet Tooth was renewed just a month after it aired on June 4, 2021. Season 2 was renewed in July 2021, and the filming for the same is going on in New Zealand in 2022.
However, no official announcement has been made yet, making it seem that the series might not air in 2022.
Sweet Tooth Season 2 Plot
It’s an American Fantasy genre series set in a post-apocalyptic world where “The Great Crumble” wiped out a large population of the earth and now the remaining people are infected by a disease known as “The Sick.”A new breed of humans, who are hybrids, started appearing, making people scared, and are widely believed to be the reason for the apocalypse.
Season 1, which had 8 episodes, showed the world’s condition after the apocalypse and the Sick. We have introduced the new hybrids apart from Gus, who’s a deer-human hybrid.
After some armed men enter their secluded cabin, they try to take Gus. Pubba tries to fight them off but gets infected after stepping out of the safe zone and dies. Following this, Gus tries to live by his father’s rule, but his desire to meet his mother and his curiosity overrides all as he sets out to look for Birdie, known to him to be his mother.
While he was traveling alone, he meets Tommy Jeppard, who he calls “Big Man,” when he is captured by more people, but Tommy kills them all, and they both travel together to Safe Haven.
The Animal Army, on the other hand, looks for other hybrids to save and protect them from the world and General Abbott’s men who are trying to round them off and finish them. He is also threatening Dr. Singh and has a dark secret with Tommy. He wants to find a cure for the sick and wants Aimee to continue her research on hybrid kids.
Season 1 shows great acting performances as well as brilliant cinematography and is aesthetically pleasing. Season 2 is expected to follow along the same lines and showcase a great story, although whether it follows the comic’s narrative or not, remains to be seen.
