The story starts panning with Karen Kohiruimaki, who is a 19-year-old university student. Karen is relatively taller compared to an average Japanese girl, rising at a level of 183 centimetres. This is why she is very insecure about her height. Karen was socially awkward, so when she came across this new VR game she thought to give it a try hoping she might find some new friends in the game which will reduce her social anxiety gradually.
A while after playing the game, Karen got her username as Llenn. She became friends with Pitohui who is a more experienced player in this game. Later when Gun Gale Online changes modes into a battle royale game, and when Pito also left the game, Llenn was stuck with Pito’s partner M, who is also an experienced competitor. Gradually after coming a long way Llenn secures her victory by defeating The Gorilla Woman who was the final competitor standing against her.
Gradually they became friends and decided to meet in real life. However, one random day, Karen stumbles upon a very sharp guy who identified himself as M from GGO. He showed for talking about some issues that Peto had. According to M if Peto doesn’t win the next battle royale hosted by GGO, she is going to kill herself. However, facing tons of challenges, Llenn finally managed to save Peto and according to their promise they met in real life.
