The nurses of Mochizuki General Hospital are among the best-trained (and most well-equipped) in the city. Although these women fight illness for a large portion of the day, they fight a quite different kind of ailment in the evenings. A group of mercenary assassins led by the hospital chairman is formed by a small number of staff members and local teenagers. They target the “cancers” in society and eliminate them before their wickedness spreads.

Shouji Sato is the author and illustrator of the ongoing manga series Triage X, which debuted in the May 2009 issue of Monthly Dragon Age. Given that Triage X was developed as a result of Highschool of the Dead’s protracted hiatus, as hinted at by Sato on the volume 1 cover flap, the two series are highly similar in terms of substance and tone.

The plot centers on the assassin Arashi Mikami, who joins forces with other Black Label members to eradicate organized crime in the fictional city of Tobioka. A portion of Arashi’s schoolday is also seen in the series, which frequently overlaps with his covert existence in Black Label.

The series is distinctive in that the plot is loosely divided into arcs that span numerous chapters each, as opposed to simply numbering each chapter. Shji Sat is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga series Triage X (Toriji Ikusu). As of February 2022, it has been serialized in Monthly Dragon Age, a shonen manga magazine published by Fujimi Shobo, since 2009.

To honor Shji Sat’s work, a Special volume named “Triage X Tribute” with brief side stories about the Triage X main characters drawn by his friends and assistants was also published.

The vigilante group known as “Black Label” is hidden behind the facade of Mochizuki General Hospital. The group, which consists of a few members of the medical staff and students from the nearby Mochizuki High School, is tasked with eliminating the “cancers” of society—unwanted individuals—and halting their spread of infection.

The task of killing crooked tycoon Hideo Aranami has been given to Black Label. The latest member, Arashi Mikami, is in charge of carrying out the execution. The dishonest Taisei Aranami, Hideo’s son, is like his father and would stop at nothing to keep the business safe.

Arashi, Mikoto, and Oriha will establish a team dubbed Ampule 1 in support of the Ampule 0 group that was already founded, Dr Mochizuki reveals. Later, at a deserted apartment building, Masaki administers the Platinum Lily medication to Fujino.

Ampule 1 is sent to assassinate the Kabuto Group’s leaders because they want to buy a lethal new medicine that is about to enter the market. Mikoto is forced to “play a game” of escaping from the captives within 10 minutes after finding herself encircled by hostages wearing explosive vests. Later, Ogawa’s supporters are making their move as Black Label muses over Ogawa’s strategies.

A new TV Station building’s opening ceremony will feature Oriha and a number of other idols. However, when an armed terrorist cell breaches the structure, they imprison the spectators in a room and kidnap the idols.

A spacecraft owned by Kyoji Tobishiro of the powerful Tobishiro Clan is the subject of an Ampule 0 investigation. As soon as she arrives, Yuko is met by the disguised Mr. Astro, who declares that Syringe has declared war on Black Label and plans to destabilize the entire world.

In order to apprehend Sayo, whose disease has reemerged, Fiona orders Ampule 1. Sayo may be too much for them to bear when they come upon the crazed woman. Syringe’s commander, in the meantime, orders Kaoru and Kaori to assassinate Konomi Suzue, a detective who has been looking into them.

Kaoru and Kaori attack Suzue while Mikoto struggles with her feelings for Arashi. Tobishiro’s thugs then kidnap Suzue. Black Label’s police liaison, Detective Hijiri, assumes control while Tobishiro’s deputy gets ready to torture Suzue.
