Every season, the filming of the show takes place over a span of four months. The sets are constructed in the filming location which goes on for 3 months until the Vegas round.

During the first 3 seasons, the qualifying rounds of the show were filmed in Venice, Los Angeles. The final round was filmed in Japan at the Sasuke competition.

From season 4 onwards, the qualifying rounds were filmed in different American cities like Oklahoma City, Miami, Tacoma, Pittsburgh, Orlando, Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, and many more. Mount Midoriyama started in season 4 from whereon onwards, all finales have been filmed. The set is on Las Vegas Boulevard.

During the pandemic, there were some changes in the filming locations. To follow the safety protocols, season 12 was filmed in a singular location which was The Dome at America’s Centre, Missouri. In the absence of the pandemic, Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Washington D.C. were the filming locations for season 12.

Season 13 was filmed in Los Angeles, Tacoma, and Washington D.C. with the finals in Las Vegas.
