Wise Man’s Grandchild Season 2 is a fantasy isekai series with action elements. It was created as a light novel, written by Tsuyoshi Yoshioka and illustrated by Seiji Kikuchi. The series was hosted on Shosetsuka ni Naro, a Japanese site, in 2015. Wise Man’s Grandchild is known as Kenja No Mago in Japanese. The series featured 12 episodes and premiered in April 2019. It was directed by Masafumi Tamura.

Wise Man’s Grandchild Season 2 Plot
The series, Wise Man’s Grandchild revolves around Shin Wolford. He is a modern Japanese man who dies in a car accident but gets reincarnated into a fantasy world. In this fantasy world, his new infant self is raised by Merlin Wolford. He turns out to be one of the most powerful wizards. Merlin teaches him everything but in a scene, she exclaims she forgot to teach him common sense!
At Diseum’s recommendation, Shin attends his Magic Academy. Diseum is the king of the Earlshide Kingdom. Shin is accompanied by August von Earlshide and Sicily von Claude in the magical academy which he attends. August is his best friend and prince of the kingdom. Sicily is another academy student and also, Shin’s love interest in the series.
In a turn of events, Shin rescues two girls from thugs. This leads him to inaugurate a club including him and his other friends.
In this fantasy world, Shin is also accompanied by Melinda Bowen, who is a magical tutor and guardian, and Merlin Wolford, who is Shin’s original magic teacher and also a father figure.
The second season will cover Shin’s short beach vacation, following a battle, to his plans to untie every kingdom. The first season covered the first three volumes of the light novel. The second season will most likely cover the next three volumes.
Wise Man’s Grandchild Season 2 Release Date
No official announcements have been made related to the second season of Wise Man’s Grandchild. It is quite impossible to assume the release date of the next season. The few fans that have watched the first season and loved it are desperately waiting for any update from the producers.
The first season was released back in 2019 although it was first announced in 2017. The production was time-consuming which adds another factor in determining the release date of the second season. Even if the show is released, it might take a few years before we see it on screens.
There are chances we might never get a second season because the prior season wasn’t profitable at all. As of now, no official announcements have been made related to the second season.

The first season concluded with Shin rejecting the Demonoid army led by Schtrom, who poses a threat to the kingdoms. Soon, Shin forms his own alliances with other kingdoms to defeat him.
