It is based on the book Jane the Virgin by Jennie Snyder Urman. It is produced by Kim Young-bae and Kim Tae-Eun CP and executive produced by Lee Seol-gi (Studio S).

The story follows the events of Oh Woo-ri played by Soo-Hyang. She is a young girl who kept on her pure virginity all these years but the rising action begins when she gets pregnant RwithRaphaell played by Sung-hoon child due to a doctor’s mistake. He is the CEO of a cosmetics company.

The story begins with the introduction of Woori, a simple and naive girl who has promised to remain a virgin till she gets married because of this she becomes the major topic for jokes and pushes off the guys in the process. Her friends later find out that she already has a boyfriend and both of them don’t share a physical relationship. She has a single mother who wishes to fulfill her unfulfilled dream of becoming a singer by sharing a physical relationship with her producer.

Then comes the introduction of the male lead Raphel who is the CEO of diamond cosmetics and wants to divorce his wife. With his introduction begins the rising act as circumstances bring Woori and Raphael face to face with each other. Various actions bring them further close and it becomes really difficult for the audience to determine what happens at the end.

On the surface, this drama might seem like a simple form but this drama is packed with a lot of important topics and also some chilling mysteries which will be fun to predict. The second episode of the drama starts with a scene from the future where Raphael and Gang Jae walk together both wearing white toward Woori and her baby.

Now one of them is the husband and the writer is going to spin our heads throughout this drama and confuse us as to who is going to be the husband of Wuri at this point. We all have watched a lot of K Dramas to know that it is indeed going to be Raphael who is going to be the husband of Wuri.

K Dramas have always focused on the growth of characters. Raphael, even though not fully a bad boy, still is a partly boy and doesn’t seem like a guy who is ready to become a father. the drama will show his journey of changing for good and we know how K Dramas love the trope of the main female lead changing and the uninterested bad boy into someone responsible and loving .that’s exactly what Woori will do to Raphael .then a major K drama 101, the good boy who is mostly the second lead never ends up with the main female lead.

Even though Raphael is not completely the typical toxic k drama lead, you have to be proud of him for how he handled Woori’s pregnancy and didn’t force her to make any decision because it’s her alone who gets to make any decision. Past is something very important in K Dramas. Raphael was the guy who believed in Woorie’s dream of becoming a writer and motivated her as we can see this in a flashback scene in episode 2 we all know how important the first kiss is especially in K drama land and they were in a relationship in the past, this fact alone is so romanticized.

Mostly in dramas, they show that when two leads are in love, they are connected somehow in their pasts and thus somehow show that they are destined to be together. This drama will lead with the challenges of motherhood and fatherhood and what challenges a couple goes through in bringing up a child into this world. Gang Jee is such a sweetheart he is a perfect guy but we have seen Woori being confused about her feelings for him and she doesn’t feel like marrying him in her 6 since she doesn’t accept him as a life partner.
